Your player’s league age is determined by the Little League Baseball® and Little League Softball® Age Charts. The dates for baseball and softball are different, but each determines the division in which your Little Leaguer will play this season. The Age Determination Date for a Little League Baseball player is the actual age of a child on August 31 of the current year. The Age Determination Date for a Little League Softball player is the actual age of a child on December 31 of the previous year.

This is Keystone’s co-ed introductory league. Players can request one teammate or coach at this level. Player ages are typically Little League ages 4 and 5 (See Age Charts above or the League Age Calculator to determine your child's "League Age.") Each team has one manager and two coaches. Games last approximately one hour. Very low-key introduction to organized baseball/softball. Player needs their own glove, rubber cleats, and baseball/softball pants. It is recommended that each player has their own helmet with a full face mask. Players play with a Reduced Injury Factor (RIF) ball. If you choose to provide your own bat, it must be a USA stamped bat.

A typical season for T-Ball consists of a minimum of 3 to 5 practices (times and dates based on coach and field availability, weather permitting) prior to the first games after the teams are organized in mid-March. Once games begin, it will be up to each coach's discretion to host additional practices. There will typically be 2 games per week until the season ends in June and we try to make one of the games Monday-Thursday and the other game on Saturday, but rainouts can alter those intentions.

This League is co-ed. Players can request one teammate or coach at this level. Players are recommended to have played in an organized tee-ball league prior to enrollment in this league, but not required. Player ages are typically Little League ages 5 and 6 (five and six). Each team has one manager and two coaches. Games last approximately one hour. Basic rules of organized baseball and softball are introduced. Coaches pitch to hitters on one knee for boys and underhand for girls and will bring out a tee if needed. Player needs their own glove, rubber cleats, and baseball/softball pants. It is recommended that each player has their own helmet with a full face mask. Players play with a Reduced Injury Factor (RIF) ball. If you choose to provide your own bat, it must be a USA stamped bat.

A typical season for Coach-Pitch consists of a minimum of 3 to 5 practices (times and dates based on coach and field availability, weather permitting) prior to the first games after the teams are organized in mid-March. Once games begin it will be up to each coach's discretion to host additional practices. There will typically be 2 games per week until the season ends in June and we try to make one of the games Monday-Thursday and the other game on Saturday, but rainouts can alter those intentions.

Softball Divisions:   

Keystone has softball programs for girls ages 7 through 12 (seven through twelve). Player's age is based on age as of December 31. Girls who will not turn 7 (seven) until after April 30, are encouraged to register in the Coach Pitch division, but it is not required. Prior to Memorial Day, players will hit coach pitching. From Memorial Day through the end of the season, players will alternate pitching innings with coaches. Players may request teammates or coaches in this division.

The Minors division is the next step in softball development at Keystone. Player needs their own glove, rubber cleats, softball fielding face guard, sliding shorts, and softball pants. It is recommended that each player has their own batting helmet with a full face mask. If you choose to provide your own bat, it must be a USA stamped bat. Games will be full player-pitch, and there may be some games scheduled off-site against neighboring leagues. Players will be assigned to teams after an evaluation and draft. Teammate requests are not available in this league. Teams will have one head coach and two assistant coaches. Once games begin in mid-April, it will be up to each coach’s discretion to host additional practices. There will typically be 1-2 games per week. The regular-season games will be followed by a tournament among all the teams of this division. The end-of-season tournament will start after the season games are completed and teams will continue to play until a tournament winner is determined. There is potential for post-season all-star play at the beginning of July based on division coaches' selection of players. 

The final step for softball at Keystone is the Majors division. Player needs their own glove, rubber cleats, softball fielding face guard, sliding shorts, and softball pants. It is recommended that each player has their own batting helmet with a full face mask. If you choose to provide your own bat, it must be a USA stamped bat.

Teams bat until there are 3 outs or through the entire order once, and then switch to defense. Player needs their own glove, rubber cleats, protective cup, and baseball pants. It is recommended that each player has their own helmet with a full face mask. Players play with a standard Little League baseball. If you choose to provide your own bat, it must be a USA stamped bat.

The Jr. Umpire Program allows Keystone players and siblings of players who are age 11 (eleven) and above to learn a different aspect of the game if they are interested in participating. As a Jr. Umpire for Keystone's Farm and Minor baseball and softball games, they will have the opportunity to learn details of the game from behind the plate. All Jr. Umpires will be required to participate and satisfactorily complete at least one training session in March. Jr. Umpires are compensated for each game they sign up and umpire for. The Senior Umpire Program allows Keystone players and siblings who are 13 (thirteen) years old and above to continue furthering their skills.
